Video - Cotton Quilting Printed Fabrics
If you've seen any of the videos about cotton prints over the last year, you know I love to wear them more that I like to quilt with them. The video today explains a little more about why most cotton prints/quilting cotton prints are perfect for apparel and even some home decor applications like table linens, pillows and even duvet covers. Anything you find in the Quilting category is printed on cotton broadcloth. Some fabrics may be a little more closely woven than other, or have a teatment on them to give you a softer hand, but that fabric is mostly the same. The differences will be between brands like Westminster, Moda, etc.
We literally have thousands of prints to choose from whether you are sewing for a baby boy, a tween or yourself. Summer is the best time to try a project with a cotton print because the fabric is perfect for the season. Keep in mind, as I always say, if you don't like a little light ironing or a slightly rumpled look, this fabric may not be for you. It's hard to beat the cool factor, especially down here in the Beautiful South.
Here are some pattern suggestions to go along with the Parisville collection I featured in the video by Tula Pink.
